We are pleased to introduce a new life skills program that has been developed to meet the needs of our community:

Gain at G.R.O.W. is a weekly life skills program that will run on Saturdays for young adults (21 and older) with social, intellectual, or developmental disabilities. The program will run on a 3-month-cycle with up to 4-6 participants. This program will utilize peer-teaching and a learn-by-doing approach to enhance or expand participants’ life skills , social skills needed for successful participation in independent or semi-independent living.

Participants will identify their own individual life skills goals to work on for the duration of the program. During weekly sessions, learning modules will focus on supporting participants in meeting individual goals in addition to the flexible application of general life skills group curriculum materials in areas such as cooking, cleaning, and community safety.
