Gary Borger

Director, B.Ed., M.M.F.T.

With academic credentials in marriage and family therapy, school administration and education (English and French), Gary brings a wealth of knowledge and professional depth of understanding in many areas, including trauma-informed planning and treatment, functional behavioural assessment, Triple P training, self-regulation, mental health first aid, collaborative problem solving and cognitive coaching. He has done regular psycho-educational presentations to classrooms, teachers, families and community as well as professional groups.
He currently works on contract with the St. James-Assiniboia School Division in a variety of roles including behavior intervention support, guidance and classroom teaching, prior to which he acted as the Program Coordinator, Interdivisional Student Services in the Louis Riel School Division. Earlier in Gary’s career, he held a number of administrative, resource, guidance and classroom roles in French immersion schools. Gary is a member of the Manitoba Metis Federation and has a number of other memberships and involvements in the community.
